Katie: Forgive me, but why the heck does the mom feel it necessary to
leave a 7 week old for 48 hours for pleasure? There are places on this
planet where that would be a death sentence. Everywhere on this planet, it
is like an eternity for that child. Has anyone explained child development
to that mom? The archives have plenty on nipple confusion, but I'd
honestly present some of the data on attachment theory. Why is it in our
society that we feel the need to give mothers a break from their babies?
This mom could either bring her baby with her or benefit immensely from
having the money spent on a housekeeper, wholesome prepared food, and
other "luxuries." Rant over...
