I do not believe that pumping is a good way of telling how much milk a
mother is producing, especially when she is under stress.
Why is it more surprising that a mother should have problems with a
seventh rather than a first or third baby. The reasons are *usually*
the same: the baby is not getting the milk that is available. With
continued poor breast emptying, the milk supply decreases, the baby
nurses even less efficiently, and the milk supply diminishes more.
You would have to rule out retained placenta.
I hope this baby is being supplemented with a lactation aid and not a
bottle.
Breast compression can help.
Try fenugreek 2 capsules three times a day, and blessed thistle
tincture, 20 drops three times a day.
