Hello all. Long time no hear. I hope everyone is well.
We have a three-month-old, plump, happy, breastfeeding baby.
I have a first client. Relactating mother, age 22. 5 weeks Pp. Easily
swayed by others. Was Bf, then went to parents who convinced her the baby
was starving on Bm, so she staarted giving supps. Her husband wasn't with
her at her parents, and when he found out she wasn't Bf, was extremely
disappointed. He is very supportive of her efforts. Hasn't nursed for a
month.
Have her pumping. was on mini-electric since Friday, now using Lactina.
Have not yet started SNS. Baby is willing to latch-on, but gets angry that
there's nothing there. Told her to not do that anymore.
SHe has drops of milk, but not a lot. How long can I expect her to take if
she is pumping every 3 hours, 15 minutes each side. Is it better to have
her switching sides more often? I need help. I've tried reading up on
relactating, but have found very little.
I'm no-mail, so please be sure to send me a Cc.
TIA,
Nofia
