Hi All,
Just read this :

My advice Darlene, is to tell the mom to take the dairy out of HER diet and
to STOP giving the baby lactaid and pears. This baby is too younge for the
pears! It also seems to me that the Ped (tho trying) doesn't know much
about BF and dairy allergies. He may also be diagnosing lactose intolerance
much to freely, as we all know how rare it truely is.
SInce I am going through this dairy allergy thing myself, I can tell you
that the best thing for this mom to do is to read all labels and get all
dairy out of her diet as a first step. The baby may or may not be allergic
to dairy, but since it is so common, it is a good place to start. Has a
foremilk hindmilk imbalance been ruled out? That would also cause a fussy baby.
Let us know!
