I am interested in obtaining bf statistics for the US in the late 1800's.  I
don't need complicated statistics, just initiation rates, average duration of
nursing, and/or something like the percentages still nursing at various ages
(3, 6, 9 months, etc.).

Any ideas for finding these sorts of statistics - or educated guesses about
such statistics?
