A colleague has asked me to post this question. Mom is expecting 2nd child.
She did breastfeed her first child successfully for 3 months. At approx. 3
months, infant began to have blood in stools. Nipples were intact. Mom went
on a dairy-free diet (I don't know for how long, or how dairy-free) without
success. Mom was told to wean. After child was totally on ABM, bleeding
stopped. Mom wants to breastfeed this baby, but is concerned that this
infant will also develop blood in stools at this point in time.
I know this is sketchy, but my colleague is on vacation this week, and she
did not give me much information.

Thanks for your thoughts.
