I did not see the original post, but from what was up, I agree with
you, Kathy. Hirschprung's seems unlikely. Furthermore, a barium
enema is not necessary or very useful to make the diagnosis. A rectal
biopsy, for which fasting is not necessary, is more reliable. By the
way, 24 hours of fasting is also not necessary, or desirable, for a
barium enema.
