Dear Lactnetters,
I sat on a round table looking at the R**s pump, although at the time
didn't know that was what it was for-another story! Anyway, it
reminded me of my mother's meat pusher that she used when she ground
up roast and potatoes for what she called "hash". It looked to me
like it could do the same to someones nipples. The arm motion was
awkward. My opinion, as always to them, was to stay away from
breastfeeding.
I would like to know, though, reactions to the new M****a L***le
H***ts pumps. I had 2 donated for World Breastfeeding Week and all I
have heard from moms is the manual does ok but the electric is too
expensive-can just buy Mini Electric if that is what she needs.
Jan-have fun in New Orleans. I went to KC last year and really
enjoyed spending time with people with the same interests and not
having to always "defend" myself.
Hoping everyone is having a great week and all of your efforts are
appreciated. The King county Breastfeeding Coalition in partnership
with Healthy Mothers-Healthy Babies of Washington State were able to
have displays in local libraries. What a wonderful place for
education. I was very pleased with how I was greeted by them and the
enthusiasm they had for supporting breastfeeding!
