Talked to a mom today who is pumping only and feeding ebm (mother's choice, I
don't agree with her choice, I just respect it). Baby is a month old, doing
well. Mom was concerned that her supply is dropping. She hasn't been pumping
as regular because the baby is staying awake longer and she can't pump in the
same room with the baby......because the pediatric told her do not pump in
the same room with the baby as the baby will be upset when he smells your
milk. She was so relieved to find that it wouldn't harm the baby and said
she wouldn't have a problem keeping up with the pumping if she could pump
with the baby in the same room.
