Some of us are on single posts instead of digests. The posts come trickling
in 1,2, or 3 at a time throughout the 24 hours. Your post was marked as
having been sent from Lactnet at 3:07. I received a few minutes later.
Digests are accumulated and sent several times a day, collecting all that
were sent within that time period.

Single posts work best for me because I work out of my home office doing
visits only in the homes of my clients. Between calls I sometimes stop in
here and do a bit of reading. Also when I awake at 3:17 A.M. (I hate
digital clocks!) and can't go back to sleep, I can come see what other night
owls have written, or perhaps a post will be from someone in a far away time
zone. Early this morning I sent one at 3:52 A.M. and Lactnet sent it out at
4:02. Another sleepless Lactnetter could have had the thrill of reading it
at 4:03 A.M. if she/he is on single posts.
