I worked with a mom who had had "radical" reduction surgery and she called
me before baby was born to ask about b'feeding, in part because of her VERY
sensitive breasts, particularly her nipples. Even light touch was
unbearable.(I wrote of this case on Lactnet a few months ago.)

The tenderness is totally gone now. She noticed it lessening daily and was
pain free by about three weeks.  She was pleasantly surprised.

It's probably that miraculous breast milk again, healing everything.
