In reference to Jan's post about whether a woman working in an environment
with nasty fumes, etc. should BF, shouldn't the real question be, is it safe
to be pregnant and work there? If a woman conceives and carries a baby while
she works in such a facility, isn't that a danger, and if it isn't why would
BF be considered MORE of a danger, or dismissed as more dangerous than
artificial feeding? Are people continuing to ask the WRONG question here, or
am I misinformed about these risks? Also, Margery's use of the "looks like
the firing squad is wearing the blindfolds" was just wonderful! Isn't that
what makes this so frustrating - the ones with the "big guns" (the money and
the percieved medical power) shooting out their powerful misinformation and
biases so blindly?
Still IMHO it is a good sign that a LACTNET digest of only a few posts is SO
informative and supportive of nursing families and those who help them,
Always worthwhile to be here! Judy Fram , Brooklyn, NY
