Mom delivered today a 9 lb baby boy. She has been taking glyburide for
diabetes, but during pregnancy needed insulin injections to stay in control.
Now that baby is here, MD is wondering if it would be safer to keep her on
insulin while nursing rather than glyburide (Diabeta), since the Medications and
Mothers Milk says there is a remote potential for producing hypoglycemia in the
baby. Anyone have experience with mothers taking this medication for diabetes?

Thanks.
