Colostrum does vary in colour from clear to fairly dark yellow. Does
"dark" could mean dark yellow, or a completely different colour
altogether? If it is brown, it might contain some old blood, which may
occur from bleeding from a duct. In any case, the nurse had no right to
throw away the colostrum. What a bloody nerve! Even if the colostrum
contained blood, this would not be a concern for the baby.
