Leslie-good comment on what we see and think of as normative. As time goes
by I realize that we know little or nothing about normal baby and BFing
behavior in regular hospital &birthing center settings. Michel Odent seems
to have come the closest.


The great debate - assuming the baby does silently or 'loudly' aspirate
breasmilk - so what? Am a bit confused here. Breastmilk has medicinal uses
when introduced into orifices other than the mouth. What happens in the
lungs? In my limited knowledge, nothing.

Also think that how one reads the posts makes a difference, most of us do
not flame. Our beloved Dr. Jack has the same rant with every health
professional  and group who/that is not somewhat knowlegable about
breastfeeding, we read it almost every day (except when he is thrilling his
fans in live appearances) and is nothing to take personally.
