Aug 97 LIFE mag cover story is on "touch". Talks about such things as infant
massage, sids, Tiffany Fields research, touch deprivation in orphans, and
says America is a nontactile society compared to other cultures and gives
examples of research and touching of children. Beautiful photos and words
about touch as medicine, skin hunger, and mothers needing to give. BUT no
mention of bf at all, nor about kangaroo care in the part about premies. I'll
point this out to them in a nice letter too.
Hope all who tested for ibclc did well. I recertified by cerps this yr!
