I have a request for information from the mother of a 5 month old.
She breastfed her first without any ear infections but her second baby is
now up to three ear infections.  The only difference that she can think of
is that she is taking this one to bed to nurse and is wondering if there are
any references to associate the supine position with increased ear
infections.  I have the general references for decreased ear infections when
breastfeeding but would appreciate any comments, or references which look
specifically at lying down to nurse.  Please e-mail me directly, as I am
