Dear Mary,

I could not help chuckling at your post for I too have nursed on long
trips  by Hanging one over the baby in the car seat.  I never bothered
covering up what I was doing and I'm sure many truckers got an eye full!!
 It is very tiring on the back!!

If I knew then what I know now, I would have pumped and then finger fed
with a lact-aid.  I think someone should invent a "breast extender" for
just this situation. Some sort of soft flange  attached to a tube that
has a nipple end. Baby sucks while  mom does breast compression.   This
may not  have worked for me because my children never had a bottle, but
it sure would have been easier on my back.
