Jane:  This doctor's wife's bf history may say a lot about his personal
feelings in regards to his decision.  As for your letter, I think it
raises good points, but with someone this litigation-conscious, it may
have helped to add that women who have prematurely weaned due to frivolous
weaning recommendations and whose children have suffered illness related
to the weaning are  beginning to sue the health care providers who have
recommended unnecessary weaning.  Perhaps a few examples, e.g. asthma,
dehydration due to gastroenteritis, recurrent otitis, etc.  Alicia.
