Melody,
I had a client last year, with a 4 month old baby. Mum had a
persisitent milk blister which we pricked with a sterile needle.
This offered instant relief to the recurring blocked duct. It did
recur a week later, we pricked it again. (as well as doing this, we
followed the usual regime for blocked ducts and dietary changes). I
wasn't happy about pricking it everytime it recurred so advised her
to stop. I then suggested the Epsom Salts idea, i.e. soak the
affected breast in an ice cream container containing warm water to
which 5 mls of Epsom Salts has been added. She attempted this but
said it was really difficult as she had very small breasts. One
night she went out on a girls night out and drank a lot of champagne.
For every glass of champagne she had a glass of water. In the
morning the milk blister had gone, as had the blocked ducts, neither
every recurred.
Maybe it was the champagne, but it was probably the increased fluids.
Maybe you should suggest a girls night out.!!
