Anne, you obviously struck a nerve with your colleague. It was actually a
set up , I think....to bait you into inserting your own passionate beliefs,
and then to put you down afterwards,.
I personally think that the psychologist has a personal ax to grind on this
issue, and was looking for you to be the fall guy, so to speak. I think
that you handled it beautifully. Obviously, the speaker was NOT the one who
was aggravated, it was the psychologist who set up the situation in the
first place that had the problem, and still does. I think that saying
anything other than what you did say would have been saying untruths, and
what better place to discuss the realities of bf and psychotroptic
medication than in a lecture to residents?
Heh, some argued about handwashing too.....at first. It takes a while....to
get the point across, and there are some mighty big egos that must be
assured that what they do, however wrong, is right.
