Not only does the article say that breastmilk is sufficient for the first
16 weeks of life (only that length of time?), and that weaning may begin at
5 mo (that babies are interested in this? I doubt that!), but there are
other things in this special edition that didn't sit right with me. ALl
who got this issue need to read it CAREFULLY and then write a
letter/email/fax or whatever to the editors of this special edition noting
the problems that exist with this document.

Some of the information in it appears to be well written and designed to
explode myths and add new information to that which the mass audience
has--and thus their understanding. However, what they have to say about
breastfeeding and some other things leaves me wondering who fact-checked
this material!

Remember, too, that every letter received is generally thought to represent
the views of at least 25 others who did NOT bother to write. This means
every letter counts! Do not expect your neighbor to do this. YOU need to
DO THIS!!!
