Yael's response to this made it seem like g.t. is a transient thing. i
thought that this was just the kind of tongue someone has. The symptoms
Yael described in her daughter sound like something else, a viral
syndrome perhaps. I have what Ithink is geopgraphic tongue, lots of
fissures and certain foods do hurt. But I've also had something called , I
think, "Vincent's disease", which occured after the flu, where the gums
and tongue were so sore that I couldn't eat anything. I was treated with
kenalog, a cortisone ointment, I was told that this condition could occur
after a viral infection.
