I would like to comment on a few posts. On Debbie's post on religious
leaders, I am dealing with a Ezzo devotee here and find it very
frustrating as it deals with two such personal issues. I thank Jack
Neuman for the scripture posts.
On colic, my son (#3) screamed from 3 weeks until 9 months. I now know
why some people batter babies as it was very frustratiing not to be able
to 'fix' the problem. We knew about milk as he reacted almost
immediately to that, his problem turned out to be allergies. This would
be a first recommendation I would make to any mother with a infant with
colic. But I also think that research in this area needs to be done.
This baby had hiccups in utero (and after birth) and was born with the
cord around his arm which resulted in reduced oxygen durning labor. None
of my other 4 babies had any of this and none had colic either. Despite
two others who turned out to be allergic to things.
To Kathleen Auerbach, Happy Birthday, you guys do a great job and
provide a wonderful service and we all appreciate it.
