Pyridium is only an urinary anesthetic. It helps to take the burning away
- fast- before the antibiotic to fight the infection kicks in. While
probably OK, as the medication is concentrated in the urine, it is probably
not essential that she take it either if she is also on an antibiotic.
Just take Tylenol or ibuprofen to help with the discomfort before the
antibiotic helps.
Also ask what <proof> the doctor has that PROVES the medication is harmful.
And you can't go by the data in the PDR as proof as it is really non-data
with regards to the levels of the drug in the mother's milk.
