Hi Chris, et al,
In our local newspaper on saturday, there was a story with the
heading "Breastmilk death case". The story is about a couple in Los
Angeles, whose baby died from an overdose of heroin and methadone in
breastmilk. The cause of death was 'lack of oxygen...drug related'.
The mother resumed heroin whilst breast feeding.
Can anyone in the U.S who probably knows more about this that the
small article in the Oz paper, shed some more light on this event. I
see a few mums on the Methadone program and I would like to know the
details of this case, to prevent it from happening in this small
town, where I may be involved!
