Have any of you seen latex allergy in a mom who us using the Haberman Feeder?

Is it latex?  The baby ( 6 days) was using a nipple that said "non latex"
and we changed to a Haberman for a slower flow and his lips are blistered.
I haven't seen him yet, but wanted to ask you folks, and would like a rapid
reply if possible. If it is not a reaction to the latex, could it be
"simply" a new lip action that is creating "nursing blisters"?
