I presume by the concern (articular damage), and the name, this drug is
related to norfloxacin and ciproflaxin. Neither of these is
contraindicated during breastfeeding.

The problem of articular damage was found when they treated young
animals (not the nursing mothers of these animals) with the usual big
doses.

The articular damage stuff in humans has not been proved. Indeed, a
study of children who had died of cystic fibrosis who had been on large
doses of ciproflaxin for many years, showed *no* articular damage at
autopsy.

I think the concerns about this group of drugs should be laid to rest.
The mother should breastfeed.
