Opal,
I have a 17 month old nursing toddler who has chipping enamal only on his
front two upper teeth. He has 7 other teeth which have no problems. He
nurses about the same amount as the 13 month old that you mentioned. I took
my son to 2 dentists and was told that the teeth did not form properly and it
has nothing to do with nursing. I have been applying flouride every 3-5 days
and using a cloth to clean them. Using a toothbrush causes more enamel to
come off of the tooth. My son does not seem to be in pain or sensitive to
hot and cold. I take him to the dentist every 6 months just to keep an eye
on his teeth. Hope this info helps.
