Chanita: Glad you're back. Regarding your question on maternal bonding,
there is at least one researcher who has seemingly devoted his life to this
topic: James Prescott, PhD. One article I happen to have of his is: "The
ORigins of Human Love and Violence," from the Pre and Perinatal Psych
Journal, 10(3): 143-189; Spring 1996. It's interesting work, but much of
it is potentially subject to what public health researchers refer to as
ecologic fallacy.
