Mia:  I have two references about bf during diarrhea, not specifically in
toddlers, but there should be no difference:  Khin-Maung-U, et al.
Effect on clinical outcome of breast feeding during acute diarrhoea.  BMJ
1985; Vol 290, pp587-9; and Faruque A, et al.  Breast feeding and oral
rehydration at home during diarrhoea to prevent dehydration.  Arch Dis in
Childhood 1992; Vol 67, pp1027-9.
IMO, this nurse is not concerned about the effects of nursing on this
child's diarrhea.  She's simply voicing her dislike of toddler nursing.
