Just to let you all know, my Mum with the inverted uterus, retained
placenta and 1500ml PPH has gone home. Now day 9, no abundance of
milk so continuing to feed with a SNS, plus expressing, plus
Fenugreek, plus Maxallon. She has decided that she will give the
baby until 3 weeks old and then begin bottle comps instead of feeding
with a SNS as she wants to avoid nipple confusion. The baby is
gaining weight with the SNS which only has 60 mls in in and feeding
on demand/4 hourly, so she must be making milk. Her breasts remain
soft, no milk when expressing by pump or hand and no leaking.
Many thanks for all your advice.
