Golly gee, I guess it doesn't matter what the American Academy says
about PTU, there will still be people who say it is not okay.  The fact
you just give thyroid to the baby to treat hypothyroidism, and that just
takes care of any worry about the baby does not seem to interest these
fine doctors.  You don't have to be a pediatric endocrinologist to
figure that one out.

By the way, many doctors deserve some bashing.
