Dr. Anne: It's posts like yours about the lecture that convince me that it
was a good decision for me to pursue a PhD and not an MD. I would have
been in knots sitting there. I commend you for your restraint and ability
to calmly assert your point and to follow through with references. Is it
your opinion that other MDs and other hcps perceive you as a bf zealot?
Many of us, as non-MDs, are under the impression that somehow the MD degree
provides shelter from such criticism, but your post seems to negate that.
Please keep plugging along. Although at times I am very critical of MDs,
we need every single one who is as knowledgeable about bf as you and the
other MDs on Lactnet. I like to think of the lactation field as a chorus
of voices, which requires the full range. : )
