Numerous hormonal changes in women influence corneal curvature. Low
estrogen levels during menopause create dry eyes. There was an article
about this in the lit. a while back which concluded that contact lenses
should not be prescribed in lactating women due to temporary changes in
corneal curve. Their advice: wait and just wear glasses in the meantime.
It may be the vision changes are real; fear that the changes will cause
persistant damage are probably unfounded.
