Hi everyone, I am working on an interesting case. The baby was presented to
me at 3 weeks of age still 1lb 3oz below birth wt. Mom's milk supply was at
1/2 oz when pumping with a evenflo pump. Test weights showed 1 oz intake.
Nipples crused low tone infant. Mom has Sticklers syndrome and takes 1500 mg
of Calcium daily she says is for the syndrome. All I have found out from
medical texts is that this is a connective tissue disorder. Can any one tell
me more about this disease. Could it be causing the low milk supply. She has
been taking fenugrek caps 4/day for about 1 week now and milk supply pumped
is up to 1 1/2- 2oz. Pumping with Lactina pump now. Test weighing will be
done today. I have her up to 1 pound under birth wt. at wt check on Friday.
At breast with SNS and ABM or EBM when available. TIA
