I LOVE having you on Lactnet. What a pleasure to read a succinct, scientific debunking of a fad diet. To each his own dinner plate, I suppose, but what has troubled me as I read these posts about the raw foods regime is that the *baby* is expected to live it for the parents - they have been dabbling in this regime but can't quite manage to stick with it "yet". So let the child fulfill the unrealized dreams of the parents? Common, even natural, for parents to wish for that - but not always very nice - or very healthy, mentally or physically --for the child.
