What arrogance on the part of the pediatrician!  Won't let the mother
nurse unless *s/he* can be assured of the safety of the drug.  Isn't
Hale good enough?  What happened to mother's ability to choose for her
and her baby?  ARRRGH!

We used to use pyridium in children.

Furthermore, it will be extremely easy to know if it comes out in the
milk as it will turn it pink.  Pyridium is a colouring agent.  But even
if it does, the amount would be ridiculously small.
