Susan,

I have looked after a few cystic fibrosis infants whose mothers breast-fed.
 I am not completely familiar with the literature on it but recognize that
not all the infants required pancreatic supplements. I looked in Medline
and thought the following might be a good place to start:

"Title: Current recommendations for breast-feeding in cystic fibrosis
centers.
 Title Abreviation: Am J Dis Child
 Date of Pub: 1990 Oct
 Author: Luder E; Kattan M; Tanzer-Torres G; Bonforte RJ;
 Issue/Part/Supplement: 10
 Volume Issue: 144
 Pagination: 1153-6"

Most CF centres will have significant experience regarding this and will
probably (I hope) strongly recommend breastmilk as the optimal nutrition
for infants with CF. They are likely to recommend vitamin supplementation
and possibly enzyme replacement.
