An update from DC. The brain conference as it was called went well. There
is good news and bad news:

Bad news always first: There was absolutely no mention of breastfeeding and
bnrain development

Good news: nursing, not breastfeeding was mentions two times. The first was
by the resarcher speaking on speech development, and said something about
nursing in a causal statement. Then, another researcher talking about
interaction siad something likewhen you are interacting with the baby, and
holding it as if your were nursing.

It will really be important for us to get information, especially FACTS with
references to the appropriate sources. Ufortunately I'm in DC now and don't
have access to all the names and addresses needed. Also, I'll try to find
our today where to get transcripts of the conferene of the internet. I
should be able to post by Monday (hopefully earlier).

There is more ggod news, Rod Rhiner is REALLY interested in 0 to 3 and child
development. He has started a foundation and will be airing a special on
4/28. More info to follow.

Hope this is helpful info for you. I'll post again with an update ASAP.
