Chris, 2 hours after a morning feeding would be considered a "post prandial"
and the sugar level should be no more than a normal level. Ketones can be
present in the urine when the body is burning fat for any reason. (You would
expect to see ketones during an illness if the child is not eating) If the
child is not sick or otherwise "starving" there should not be any ketones in
the urine. There should not be sugar in the urine. Sugar only "spills" when
the renal threshold is exceeded (170mg/dl in blood) I can think of only one
or two other conditions that would cause sugar in the urine, thyroid, and
adrenal problems. At any rate, glycosuria is NOT normal. Hope this helps.
