I'v worked with lots of adoptive moms and find the ones that do the best as far as milk productions are the ones in the open adoptions.  They have months with the birth moms going to appointments etc and seem to get the moth oing well before baby arrives.
In other adoptions I have suggested moms to be start babysitting for a friend or
volunteering in a hospital nursery or daycare to help "get the juices flowing".
