Perhaps sage tea for a day or two would help. Since the babies' stools
don't reflect lactose overload, the supply must not be too problematic and I
would be cautious about too much reduction.
Could the fussies and frequency be due to mom's diet? Check for aspertame
(Nutrasweet)and iron supplement in prenatal vitamins first, then consider
dairy sensitivity.
By the way, I had another successful experience of a mom's resolving
excessive fussiness and overfeeding by eliminating Nutrasweet from her diet.
Baby is now feeding more relaxed and sleeping more peacefully. And mom said
she too is sleeping better.
