Has this mom had any nipple pain? Are they pink? Do they turn white after
nursing? I would bet that they do have yeast, and that the obvious
symptoms will show in a few days. Typical latch on, latch off, is one of
the first signs I see. Can she start some form of treatment, just in case?
Acidophilus for her and baby, vinegar/water rinse to nipples, etc. Also,
see if using a baking soda/water rinse for baby's mouth (don't allow him to
swallow) right before nursing helps with oral pain that comes with the
initial latch.
