Dear List mates,

Thank you for your overwhelming support for my idea of an online
lactation consultant directory , but after considering legal concerns
raised by someone on this list and speaking with a lawyer , I have
decided that it is not feasible for me to provide such a listing on the
web at this time.

Apparently, according to the law, if I provide such a list, I am saying
that all the members on the list are who they say they are and that they
possess the credentials that they say they do. I cannot accept the legal
burden of having to figure out if someone is really qualified or not.

If ILCA ever wants to put their list up on the web I'd be more than
happy to help and I'd be happy to link to it from my site.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and thanks
for your interest and support :)
