Hello LACTNETters, Just saw a doctor( don't know what kind, I don't think she
was OB or Ped.) on Fox at Noon. The newscaster happenned to ask if a mom who
is ill should keep BF. Distilled response: yes, it doesn't hurt the baby as
long
as the antibiotic is checked as one OK for BF. Doctor said she nursed her
baby while on antibiotics. Although she didn't mention the BENEFITS of
continued nursing she said it wouldn't harm the baby, and was critical to
keep nursing during mastitis(assuring the TV audience that the infection
doesn't pass through and hurt the nursing baby). Decent TV spot.
