A 42 year old mother of 2 complains of constant leaking with the exception
of 10 to 20 minutes after a breastfeeding. She was unable to get her first
baby to latch onto her inverted nipples but pumped for the first 3 months
when she returned to work. The leaking stopped when she stopped pumping.
She has a powerful MER.She wore breast shells during her second pregnancy
and was more sucessful with breastfeeding. Her new baby is 4 weeks old,
breastfeeding and gaining weight fast. She is determined to breastfeed
for 3 months (when she returns to work) but would prefer to continue if the
leaking were to be controlled. The leaking occurs regardless of whether or
not she is wearing clothes. She asks how she can control the leaking (she
can't apply direct pressure to her nipples while working) and how long it
is likely to continue? Suggestions please!
