I have a 16 y/o in my Lamaze class. I really want her to see that
breastfeeding may be the only way she ever gets her hands on her own baby
since she lives with her parents. Her mother has already made comments
about how they are financing this baby, etc. I can't get her alone and I'm
not sure she would want this direct contact with me. I'm not even sure she
wants to raise the baby, just hand it over to mom (who has done such a
lovely job of raising her own children!) I would like to make some
generalized comments in class that might pique her interest. Am I just
beating my head against the wall? The last baby in the family (her
uncle's) was breastfed for a period of time (then went to bottle). Any
ideas?
