To Chris Hafner-Eaton,
I received your email about my "singling out Dr. Newman" to thank for helping
with this situation while not mentioning anyone else by name who helped using
the word "all." My apologies to anyone who felt I did this, and I understand
your feelings. However, the reasoning behind was because Dr. Newman was the
first to respond, and after that I heard from dozens of helpful Lactnetters,
often privately emailed to me. To answer your question, no, I did not single
Dr. Newman out because he is an M.D. On the contrary, generally speaking, I
would prefer to single out (if I was going to for a specific reason), one of
my peers. He just responded first and on several occasions, and "stuck in my
mind" right or wrong. My intent of that email was to extend appreciation. My
intent was, I thought, the best. If I offended anyone...that is totally
unintentional, I assure you. Incidentally, I tried to privately email those
who were helpful. If I left out anyone, again, my apologies...every word you
sent was valuable and useful.
