Frank, and all,....Lactnet is definitely not the place, and I use the word
*not* , strongly..for political debate about candidates and their opinions
regarding abortion. Newsgroups are around for those who wish to partake in
such a discussion. Those of you who enjoy debate should try them sometime.
They are quite lively.
We think that here on Lactnet, it would prove nothing except to cause a real
hullabaloo, and weI don't need *that*, so let's NOT. The world certainly
does revolved around other things than breastfeeding, Frank, but on Lactnet,
breastfeeding is the issue. Pure and simple. On Lactnet, breastfeeding and
lactation is the subject of the day. INFORMING people of candidates for
Surgeon General is not the same as politicking FOR them, and sharing
information is fine. If people want to share other information, such as
Miriam Labbok's stands on abortion or whatever, this should be done ***once***
and ONLY once and thereafter all replies/reactions should be sent
PRIVATELY. This is of crucial importance.
Frank, and others, let's not start a real debate... Our asbestos suits are
currently at the cleaners,..and I'm not in the mood to get burned.
OK?
Thanks for listening.
